ABOUT THIS COMPETITION

This is the annual artistic gymnastics event for male gymnasts in the region of London. The London Regional Artistic Gymnastics Championships is organised by London Gymnastics. The competition is based on the FIG CoP and BG Supplementary list with added London Rules. The main focus of the competition is on the development of younger gymnasts and help their progression towards FIG level routines. It is open to all gymnasts registered with gymnastics clubs in London, and it is designed in 6 age categories (U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, OPEN).

MY PERFORMANCE

I took the 5th place at the 2019 London Championships.

First of all, I am delighted to be able to compete once again on the Rings. I could not take part in any competitions in 2018 due to my commitment to attain the PhD degree, as well as a shoulder injury, which is still restricting my training. And here we are in 2019, back on the Rings... This was my fourth time competing at the London Regional Championships, after winning the Ring's title in this gymnastics competition in 2015, 2016, and 2017.

Well, this year I was ranked 5th out of the 5 gymnasts competing at the open category. But hey... not everyone can get the gold medal, but everyone can be a winner (I mentioned that a few times before and now is a good example). Once again, this competition was held at the Europa Gymnastics Centre in Dartford. As in the previous three years, I performed both as a gymnast and in the role of a coach at the same time.

NO MEDAL, BUT STILL A WINNER. NEVER GIVE UP.

The 2019 Men's London Championships was held on 31 March at the Europa Gymnastics Centre.
