ABOUT THIS COMPETITION

This is the second most prestigious artistic gymnastics competition in Bulgaria, after the National Artistic Gymnastics Championships. The Bulgarian Cup has a rank of a National competition, and it is open to all registered Bulgarian artistic gymnasts in the country. The Bulgarian Cup consists of 2 days of competition for senior male and female gymnasts. The first day is the Team competitions, All-around, and Qualifications for the individual Finals. The second day is the Individual Bulgarian Cup Finals on all of the gymnastics apparatuses. The best 8 gymnasts on each gymnastics apparatus qualify for the Individual Finals.

MY PERFORMANCE

I finished 6th in the Men's Rings Final.

I competed in the Bulgarian Cup for the third time after the 2007 Bulgarian Cup (8th place in the Rings Final) and the 2008 Bulgarian Cup (8th place in the Rings Final). I qualified for the Men's Rings Final, and I was ranked 6th in the final. It was an amazing opportunity to compete together with Jordan Jovchev (one of the best gymnasts in the world), who won the gold medal on the Rings.

Here I am (in the far right, wearing my black tracksuit) in the 6th place on Rings in Bulgaria. Just received my certificate awarded by the Bulgarian Gymnastics Federation. What an opportunity to compete together, and stand next to the podium to one of the best gymnasts in the world, Jordan Jovchev (1st place).

 

A quick handshake (which meant the world to me) with the superstar, World champion, Olympic Vice-Champion, one of the best gymnasts on Rings of all time, JORDAN JOVCHEV.
