ABOUT
This is the annual artistic gymnastics event for male gymnasts in the region of London. The London Regional Challenge is organised by London Gymnastics. The competition is open to all gymnasts registered with gymnastics clubs in London.
MY PERFORMANCE
I won a Gold medal on Rings at the 2015 London Regional Challenge, which was held on 26th April at the Europa Gymnastics Centre in Crayford, Kent, where I was performing both as a gymnast and in the role of coach, training and spotting my gymnasts at this event.
After a short warm-up, I went onto the Rings for a specific warm-up on this apparatus, after which I completed a beautiful routine and received the highest score in my discipline. Shortly after my performance, I went back to coaching and supporting my gymnasts for their next apparatus.
I competed in the ‘open’ category and I was awarded the gold medal by London Gymnastics at the official presentation ceremony at the end of the competition. Notwithstanding the limited number of participants in my category and the lack of strong senior gymnasts, I excelled myself and achieved one of the best performances of my lifetime.
I am the 2015 London Rings Champion.
