OUR CONTRIBUTION

This was my first time presenting at the ACSM Annual Meeting. Our study on stress in rhythmic gymnasts was accepted for an ePoster presentation, and it was part of the 1500+ scientific abstract/clinical case e-posters from the official scientific programme at the virtual 2021 American College of Sports Medicine Annual Meeting. The abstract was published in Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise, Volume 53:5 Supplement, and together with our presentation are both available for download on this page. After the conference, our study will be built upon further and the complete findings will be published in an international peer-reviewed journal.

SUMMARY

The ACSM Meeting was originally planned as in-person event in Washington, D.C., but it was then moved to a virtual conference due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I presented a pre-recorded 5 min ePoster on stress in gymnastics, and I took part in the ACSM Gisolfi Virtual 5K Run from my home city London.
